Membean & the GDPR
Membean is committed to complying with the requirements of the GDPR.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new European Union (EU) regulation effective May 25 2018, designed to give EU citizens more control over their data and to unify data privacy regulations within the EU. It sets forth requirements on how companies collect, store, delete, update or otherwise process personal data of individuals living within the European Union and the European Economic Area (EEA). It also addresses the export of personal data outside the EU and EEA. Additional information about the GDPR can be found at the European Commission Website
Membean has been preparing to fulfill its obligations regarding the GDPR. We have reviewed and closely analyzed the requirements of the GDPR and continue to monitor new guidance on best practices for its implementation. We are updating our Services, contracts and policies to ensure that we are in compliance with the GDPR effective May 25, 2018.
Most importantly, we are committed to ensuring the highest standards in protecting your privacy and the personal data you share with us. We collect only the minimum and necessary amount of data required to provide the Services. We ensure consent and are transparent about how and why we collect, use and share the data.
